MailerLite review: plans, limits and who it suits (2026)

What MailerLite includes on each plan, what the free plan limits, and who should pick it, based on the vendor's own pages checked 12 October 2026.

Pros

  • Drag-and-drop editor with more than 70 content blocks
  • Visual automation builder, with 3 automations even on the free plan
  • Websites, landing pages and signup forms included, not sold separately
  • Lists 150+ integrations, including Zapier, WordPress, Canva and a Mailchimp importer
  • Yearly billing saves 10%, and nonprofits are listed as getting 30% off paid plans

Cons

  • Free plan is small: 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month
  • Plan prices rise with list size, so the 'from' price only describes the smallest tier
  • The free plan's API and MCP access does not include sending
  • Some advanced features sit on the higher Power plan, not Comfort

MailerLite is an email marketing platform aimed at solopreneurs, small businesses, ecommerce stores, creators and nonprofits. Its pitch is simple: give people the tools most of them actually use, at a price that does not punish a small list. This review goes through what the plans include, where the limits are and who will be happy with it.

We have not run campaigns inside MailerLite for this page. It is built from the company’s pricing, features and affiliate-terms pages, read on 12 October 2026. See how we test for what that means.

What you get

The editor. MailerLite describes a drag-and-drop newsletter builder with more than 70 content blocks. These include surveys, quizzes, countdown timers, coupons, galleries and event RSVP buttons, and the templates are fully customisable.

Automations. A visual builder with pre-built templates triggers emails based on what subscribers do. The free plan includes 3 automations, Comfort includes 50, and Power is unlimited.

Websites and landing pages. Unusually for the price, MailerLite includes a website builder. The free plan covers 1 website and 1 landing page. Comfort covers 10, and Power is unlimited. For a freelancer or a small shop, that can replace a separate landing page tool.

Signup forms. Forms and pop-ups come in several styles, including teaser, promotion and spin-the-wheel. Free includes 3 forms, Comfort 10, and Power is unlimited.

Ecommerce. MailerLite lists integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce and Stripe for syncing customers, importing products, sending purchase-triggered emails and tracking campaign revenue. Paid newsletters and digital product sales are also listed.

AI tools. The company lists an AI writing assistant, an AI email generator, an AI landing page builder, AI-powered A/B testing and Smart Sending, which times emails per subscriber. An MCP server lets AI assistants manage email marketing, though on the free plan that access does not include sending.

Plans and pricing

Plan Listed price Subscribers Highlights

Power Starting $25 a month Tiered Unlimited emails (fair use), unlimited seats and automations

Two cautions. First, the per-plan prices on the page were hard to read when we checked, so the figures above come from the company’s own FAQ and are starting prices only. Enter your list size in the vendor’s calculator for a real number. Second, the page’s headline says every paid plan gets the full feature set, while its comparison table shows Comfort lacking some features Power has. Check the table for the one feature you care about.

Who it suits

MailerLite is a strong fit if you are starting a newsletter or running a small business list and want email, forms and a simple landing page under one login. It also suits freelancers and agencies who want to keep their tool stack small.

It is a weaker fit if you want a large free plan, because the free tier stops at 250 subscribers. Kit, for example, lists a free plan for up to 10,000 subscribers. It is also not the tool to pick if your main need is complex, data-driven segmentation tied to a CRM. ActiveCampaign is aimed more at that work.

Verdict

MailerLite earns a place on most small-business shortlists. The free plan is best treated as a trial, with a real paid plan following quickly. Its value is in how much the paid plans include: automations, a website builder, landing pages and forms, without a long list of paid add-ons. Before paying, build one automation on the free plan and send yourself a test, so you know the editor fits how you work.
